Villa staff were really aware of what all the guests requirements for a relaxing and quiet holiday whether you stayed one night or much longer The food was outstanding especially the evening dinners which were served at 8pm The location of this villa is the true secret it is set on the edge of a beautiful National Park and yet just 30 minutes from the centre of Florence-just perfect for a wonderful and relaxing stay with so much choice and with a great swimming pool to add to the itinery This is our fourth holiday in 10 years at the villa and we will be back in 2012

Villa suites have no air conditioning which my not suit guests in high summer although due to the villa,s location always has a cool breeze running through the villa The adjoining apartments do have air conditioning so guests do have a choice

The staff was nice and the surroundings were lovely.

It was very difficult to find and it was far from Fieosole and very far from Florence! It would be perfect if someone wanted to stay there and get away from it all...a honeymoon or retreat.

Great view on the Toscane vallee, very calm, charming and romantic place. Very friendly staff. Chateau and village near by. Great romantic place for nature lovers.

Breakfasts could be a bit richer, and although the diner menu was very tasty, there could be more pasta meals for pasta lovers... Wines were great too. Overall great place, we highly recommend it.

This hotel, staff and resturaunt were excptional in every regard, it was the best we encountered though our five weeks of travel, we hated to leave. They made you feel like family, the food was first class by any standards and the rooms were exactly what we were looking for.

Magnificent villa in the countryside. Bedroom and bathroom huge with antique furniture and stunning views of the valley below. We were unfortunate to arrive during train and bus strike and were unable to hire car due to high demand. Sabrina, the owner collected us and dropped us to Florence when required. An excellent host. Breakfast delicious with freshly baked bread and croissants. Evening meal also excellent with fresh produce. Highly recommend the hotel but note car definity required. Jane and Sean

The staff were very attentive and the food was absolutely delicious. We had a very relaxing time in a very beautiful setting.

We loved the location and the buildings. The room we had was huge, brand new and over looked the valley, olive groves and vineyards. The location in the hiils outside Florence was fantastic ... close enough to visit Florence in 15 - 20 minutes ... far enough to be up in hills and the country. This Villa was exactly what we were looking for. Loved it.

If you want to relax in beautiful and quite place near Florence - IL Trebiolo is the best choice. Green hills, vineyard, olive trees, fresh air - that's what you see in IL Trebiolo. Hostess of hotel - Sabrina is very friendly and helpful. Restaurant is wonderful - everything is fresh and tasty. Italian families come to eat at the restaurant on Sundays, which is good sign of quality. Good selection of wine. Swimming pool is located rignt in the garden. It takes only 20 minutes to get to Florence city center by car. We spent 2 wonderful days and it was one of the best hotels we stayed in Italy. Big free parking. Payed wifi avaliable near reception.

Be carefull - our gps does not recognize the adress, shown on Booked.net. Better follow directions on hotel's website and google maps.

We had a great time at the hotel. Sabrina and Roberto were very nice and helpful. The food and the service was excellent, and the location was beautiful and very peaceful.Highly recommended!

If you are not with a car, the bus service between the hotel and Fiesole is very poor. Only 2 times a day. Next time we go with a car.

friendly owners; very good restaurant; quiet place

room was chilly and humid ( no heating during the day with outside temperature of 12°-14°) ; breakfast room is too small (4 tables for 36 rooms) and breakfast service is rather poor

The room in a beautifully converted estate house about 50m from the main 'villa' was spacious, elegant and comortable. Staff were very helpfull and the food was excellent, we had dinner 'in' each night! Within easy reach of Florence (drive to Fiesole and catch No 7 bus)yet set in beautiful countryside, stunning views. .Swimming pool looked great, would have used it if the weather had been warmer!

Only problem was 'sattelite' tv not working at time of our visit so could only watch Italian tv.

Really perfect hotel. Probably best we ever visited. It's located in 11-th century historical building in charming place in mountains, with nice view to grape fields and villages. Very friedly staff with good english create unique atmosphere of tranquillity and romance. The hotel restaurant is perfect and can be additional reason to visit this hotel. Special thaqnks to restaurant staff - it's really delicious! The hotel is ideal location both for romantic weekend and for visiting Florence (by car or bike).

Really there are no any disadvantages at all! The only remark is that on that site hotel is named as "Relais il Trebbiolo" but on local signs and in our GPS it was just "Il Trebbiolo", so we were bit confused.

The hotel is in a lovely hillside location. It is an elegant building with individual styled rooms. A place to relax in.

The directions to the hotel are far from clear and it is not anywhere near the village which is the postal address

The staff were very accomodating, spoke good English to back up our poor Italian and were very welcoming and helpful. The hotel is set in beautiful grounds with excellent views. The restaurant is very good value and the quality of the food was superb.

Only grumble was that the sofa bed was unconmfortable and needed a new/thicker mattress...
